Course......................Alderney Half Marathon & 10 km Fun Run

We have a great new distance certified course for you this year, starting at the summit of the island so that most of the first 6 miles are a fast sweeping downhill run.

Assemble before the race on the Butes in St Anne Town ~ map. There are toilet and baggage facilities, water, good parking and local shops and cafes nearby. On-the-day entries accepted from 11:00 until 11:40 (it will speed things up if you have already filled in an entry form) . All baggage can be left at the assembly area and it will be driven to the finish.

The start of the half marathon and 10k is on the Butes at 12 noon ~ map. After a lap of the grass Butes, the first 500 metres will be on cobbles, then smooth roads thereafter.

The course will go though the lovely old town of St Anne ~ map then out into the countryside to follow the coast road in a sweeping 300ft downhill over the first 6 miles.

Water stations will be at the start then at 3, 6, 8, 11 and 13 miles. There will be water bowls for walkers with canine accessories (dogs must start at the back, keep their owner on a leash and no overtaking until the pack spreads out).

The finish of both races is beside the Railway Station in Braye, where baggage may be collected. There are toilets, changing and showers nearby. Sandwiches, cakes and cold drinks will be available free to entrants. Prizegiving will be held at the finish from 14:40.

Full results and photos will be posted here by the next day
